Product Description
The Grand Scale home stereo system is CTA's top of the line speaker system for the iPod. It features two satellite speakerseach pumping two 2-inch high fidelity speakers and a dome tweeter that are enclosed in a sound chamber designed to maximize sound output. The heart of the sound is produced by an 8-inch high powered subwoofer which has a maximum output of 150 watts. Everything is controlled by the center console either by its manual controls or by the full function remote. The remote can play, pause, stop, forward, reverse, skip, change play modes as well as adjust the volume, treble, bass and mids. The stand has a cable management system to prevent lose wires and provide an attractive appearance to compliment any room setting. The base can be utilized by either placing it on the stand or on a shelf for optimal flexibility. The Grand Scale will work with any iPod with a dock connector including the new iPod with Video and nano.

 Adequate Sound for an average size room August 18, 2009

I bought these speakers as a Christmas present to myself over a year and a half ago. I have used them on a daily basis since I got them. They look great in any area although i have never used the stand for the iPod dock since the day I got it. They always provide adequate sound for a living room or TV room and have worked very consistently the whole time I have had them. They don't get ridiculously loud but I can hear music at a good volume throughout my townhouse when i crank it. I have used the system in cooperation with a 5.1 system to provide music for a dance in a high school sized basketball gym and the people who were there seemed very pleased with the sound quality and volume and i even got some comments that they looked really good. The fact that it has its own RCA inputs makes hooking it up to a DVD player or receiver really easy since you don't have to piggyback headphone jacks and splitters to RCA before going into your tv like most ipod docks I have had experience with. Overall it has been a very good product.
Note: when carrying the subwoofer always use two hands, if you carry it with one hand by the port in the back, the plastic port shroud can come off and you might drop your sub. Just speaking from experience.

Received it as a gift, worked for 2 months then started with a faint fuzzy sound in the background. Terrible product, cannot even get a hold of the company to get a refund.

I got this as a gift... first system was faulty and was sent for a return. The second system lasted 2 months and is now dead. I have not been sucessful in getting any assistance from parent company.

I took a leap of faith with this product even though some of the reviews I read were not good. This product looks great! However, one of the channels did not work. It cost me $61 to ship it back and 2 weeks to get a refund.

I had no trouble installing the system in my house. We put in the Ipod and it work right off the bat.
So far we have nothing but good things to say about this system. We are very pleased with it's performance.
