We have had this product since August and the sound is already broken. You put the IPOD on and it charges but nothing else happens.
We have to send it back, not sure if we will exchange it or return it.
Very disappointing.

I was delighted when I received this little gem. It is beautifully made, not too ostentatious. The sound is really quite good as well, especially for the relatively low price when compared to other systems of similar quality.
I highly recommend this speaker/dock. I have yet to encounter the issues other reviewers have mentioned, but if I do, I will be sure to update this review. As of now, I've had the item for about a month and am still thrilled.

I had high hopes for the Vers ipod sound system. It arrived in a timely manner and was very beautiful. The problem was from the very beginning the "on/off" button was not working correctly. Sometimes it would come on, sometimes it wouldn't, it would flicker, not come on and then finally come on. After a couple of weeks it stopped coming on. It was within the 14 days indicated in the return policy. I called Ace Photo (who sold the product though Amazon), had a bit of trouble getting through and then finally spoke to someone about the defective product. They told me to ship it back and gave me a return number. When I asked about reimbursement or payment for the return postage they said, "they would have to see." and that it was not their policy to refund shipping. Mind you - the product was defective. I received the credit back for the sound system, but am out $18 for return-receipt postage. I was not pleased or satisfied with this transaction.

I was first attracted to this product because of it's eco-friendliness. Then I realized what a great product it was. I have had the system for almost a year now and let me tell you, the sound is great. Rich tone. Kind of with I had manual EQ knobs (like on the back or something) sometimes, but you can adjust it on the ipod with the preset ones. I haven't had any defect problems, those were on the earlier ones. To anyone who is apprehensive about this product because of the one star reviws about it being defective: don't be. It is an amazing system that just had a rough start. Now its all smooth sailin'. ;) Buy it!

I received my Vers as a gift in August 2008 and can't say enough good about this product. The sound quality from this fine wood 1Pod dock is outstanding-much richer and deeper than any 'plastic'dock I have heard in the past. It sounds like a live guitar is in my room! NO distortion of sound even at high volume. The design is simple and sleek, unique, sophisticated- fits well in a den, library or living room. Truly one-of-a kind. I have had NO technical problems with Vers and I use it every day. It provides sound as if I have the live musicians in my home! Keep up the good work!
