 Okay product, very short cord. August 31, 2010

I think the product is great, except the fact that the cord is only 3 ft long, if that. For future designs, have a cord that is at least 5 feet long or longer. Think about this: when do people use this? They use it at parties, at their desk, in their home, etc. I had this at my desk and I couldnt even reach the outlet with the cord as it just was not long enough. It worked best on the ground, but I dont want it sitting on the ground. I am a iPhone and iPod user and I thought this would be a great accessory, but I have gone to the iHome as I should have in the first place. My recommendation, if you want a short cord then buy this, but otherwise dont waste your money on this product.

As a long term iPod owner I've purchased several portable players and docks over the years. What they all lacked for travel or outside use is a functional remote. I looked at various "boom box" styles as well as the more basic styles such as this one. I did not want to spend $100 on a portable unit to dock and play my iPod when traveling or at the beach or pool. This little player is a great value for the money. Our prior "all modes" ac/dc/battery player did not have a remote and did not charge the iPod. Such a little thing but adds so much convenience. This Audio Flip will work either with AC power, or on batteries. Great for the patio. The remote runs all functions of the iPod, including letting you change playlists. The only functions usable on the player itself are power on/off or volume up and down. Everything else runs on remote so don't lose it! The sound of this unit is not spectacular, but it is good and the unit is fairly well built. For the money, this is a useful little player for your iPod collection. Given the full function remote, it is a great value for the price. The remote is good for about 25 feet, maybe more, as we tested that in the house only. Will not go through walls. Also charges iPod with AC adapter. Another nice feature is that you can use the Audio Flip with the iPod Shuffle (at least the older models of Shuffle that do not have the controls on the earbuds). Be aware when using with an iPod Shuffle that the remote does NOT control the player and the Shuffle needs to be turned up all the way. Considering how few players allow the use of the Shuffle model at all I can live with that. The company includes a short auxiliary cord to connect the Shuffle to the Audio Flip. Basically, everything is included that you need to enjoy your various iPods at a very reasonable price. This runs on 4 AA batteries for portable use, and the remote uses the small "coin" type battery that is sold at most dollar stores nowadays. All the adapters and cords are included, including a USB cord so you can use it with your computer as well. We found a small nylon zip case at a thrift store to store it in. I liked this well enough that I bought the exact same item as a gift for a relative whose iHome brand player never worked correctly. Thumbs up on this player!
