 Never buy this piece of equipment May 25, 2010

This is the WORST purchase I have ever made. I am on my 3rd unit after returning the first two within the warranty period. Now this unit is failing. The first unit would advance the song playing on my iPod before the song was finished. The second unit ate the CD and would not release it (I took it apart before I returned it). The third unit now has the same problem that the first unit had. It is past the warranty period and I can't return it again or I would. After experiencing this product first hand, I will never, ever purchase anything that Philips makes - ever again.

I have been looking for a stereo like this for a while. I was actually hoping that Bose did this first as i use my blackberry and pc almost everday to play music mostly and videos. I was most looking foward to replacing my lame pc speakers for something that can do it all. But i guess i was asking too much. I still cannot get the pc audio on my windows 7 equipped Toshiba PC. when watching movies i have to connect it via aux. Which isnt a huge deal but i wanted the bluetooth to work as i have enough clutter on my desk. Adding an aux cable (came with unit thats a plus) gives me one more thing to loose or break. other then that product works just as stated. My girlfriend uses an ipod touch and i use my blackberry and now we are both happy. Maybe when i finally make the switch to a macbook ill have better luck with bluetooth streaming....
UPDATE 6/15/2010: I got it working with bluetooth streaming on my windows 7 PC now it works Flawlessly!! This thing is DOPE!!!! I Love this Radio!!!! BUY IT NOW OR.... BUY IT LATER!!!

If you keep in mind what you are purchasing and if you keep in mind that this is an equipment for small spaces, then you will definetelly like it.
Great sound quality for it's size and purpose.
It accepts most types of medias (equipments and media types).
There are some small issues that could be fixed on my opinion. It doesn't make sense for me that my Ipod only gets recharged when I manually select the "iPod" menu. If I dock my iPod on the system it should recharge it no matter if I'm listening to a CD, radio or whatever. So this is my main complain, it could recharge even if on another menu mode.
The rest is perfect. :-)

I am totally satisfied with my new Phillips Hi-Fi System. It's actually more than I expected. My friends are in awe of it! The sound quality is outstanding!

Philips really hit the target this time! This small stereo unit delivers excellent sound quality and all the volume you need.
Where it really shines is in its versatility. The stereo can play AM/FM, CD, CD-R & RW, CD-MP3, as well as USB thumb drives and SD cards! (It won't read SD-HC cards, yet). It also will play BlueTooth streaming music files.
I set up my computer in the other room to stream iTunes via BlueTooth, and the Philips stereo plays the iTunes music stream in perfect stereo! Up to 30 feet away and through 2 walls!
It's a beautiful stereo, with a great display and quality design.
I'm thinking of buying another for the office!
