Robust 2.4GHz wireless technology lets you listen to music on your computer via other RoomGrooves in your house. View larger. | Designed as a clean and robust home speaker solution, you can create a wireless speaker system by using two or more RoomGrooves or KlipschCast systems--no wires or complicated setup are required. Each RoomGroove acts as a transmitter or receiver, meaning it can wirelessly send CD-quality music to other RoomGrooves or receive CD-quality music from transmitting RoomGrooves. The robust 2.4 GHz wireless technology found in the RoomGroove offers unlimited add-on opportunities. To ensure that your RoomGroove network doesn't disturb other wireless devices, RoomGrooves are designed to sniff out your entire 2.4 GHz band to detect other wireless technologies in use, such as wireless routers, and then transmit around the spectrum used by those sources. You can avoid interference from neighboring systems by using the home code dial on each wireless RoomGroove speaker to select a code specific to all of your units. As an added convenience, the RoomGroove gives you a choice of listening options based on what room you're in. For instance, if a home has three RoomGrooves and "Song A" is playing in the bedroom and "Song B" is playing in the office, then the RoomGroove in the kitchen can listen to either song or play what's on its own iPod. Under the hood, the RoomGroove speaker system packs in premium 2.5-inch woofers, crossovers, and 1-inch horn-loaded tweeters to deliver accurate, efficient, and compromise-free acoustics. A frequency response range of 65 Hz to 17 kHz ensures that the music comes out crisp and clear. The RoomGroove features a retractable dock that charges all iPods with dock connectors and comes with Apple universal well inserts to accommodate multiple iPod sizes. Other digital devices can connect easily via an auxiliary input. The RoomGroove not only brings out the best in your iPod, it also will work with your computer. All you have to do is connect the RoomGroove to your computer via its auxiliary input. Once it's connected, you can broadcast your computer's entire music library, including content from your favorite Internet radio station, to other RoomGrooves around your house. Measuring 15.75 x 7 x 4.5 inches, the RoomGroove weighs six pounds. A remote control is included with the RoomGroove for added convenience. The RoomGroove is backed by a 1-year limited warranty. What's in the Box RoomGroove speaker system, remote control, power supply, and universal well inserts.

Amazing piece of equipment March 2, 2010 Martin Telko (NC, USA) The sound is excellent and really fills the room (even with a single unit). I have three units and they work very well together, filling my apartment with great sound. The units are up to 10m apart, with walls in between, but the signal is still excellent. The units look cool, too.
I have just two minor criticisms:
(1) The charging function does not work with the iPod Touch.
(2) The remote has limited functions and does not allow you to access the iPod's menus.
Despite the criticisms, I still highly recommend the Roomgroove. It's definitely a better value than the Bose docking station.
Excellent quality/awesome sound May 27, 2009 BDS I was looking for another IPOD speaker system recently and studied the Klipsch RoomGroove on Amazon and elsewhere. I already own a Bose similar to this one but wanted to try something different. The Klipsch lives up to it's name in sound quality despite it's relatively small size. I read other articles complaining about the somewhat suspect construction but found it to be as good or better than other systems I had seen. No problems with compatibility and sleek, good looks. Give one a try.
Exactly what I was looking for! May 9, 2009 Mark R. Seely (Mankato) This speaker has really great sound. I have the Klipsch system as my main sound system for my TV/stereo system and this wireless speaker is the perfect solution to getting sound to the rest of the house. The wireless works great as does the i-pod dock. The only reason for the 4 rating is that it doesn't charge the i-pod and it has to be plugged in. My brother just got the Bose i-pod docking station. I don't think the Bose has the sound quality of the Klipsch, but it is nice to be able to take it where ever he wants since it is rechargable. Between the two, I'd still pick the Klipsch.
Awesome! April 5, 2009 A.K. Smit I bought this because I found that I was no longer using my old CD-stereo setup and was just listening to my I-pod all the time around the house, which is a little anti-social/claustrophobic. The RoomGroove is totally cool, delivers awesome sound, and the fact that there are no wires to deal with makes it clutter-free and very versatile as well. Only one small complaint: in a large room, the bass is muddy - strong but not well defined. The sound is much better in a smaller space IMHO. Anyway, so far so good. I'm delighted with this purchase: it's gotten me listening to music around the house all the time now, just like back in the old turn-table days...
Great Product April 4, 2009 Michael B. Grablick (Seattle, WA) Awesome product!! Great sound and a sleek design. The remote that came with it had a dead battery, but otherwise no problems with it. Also what I like is that the IPod dock retracts into the base of the unit when the IPod is removed. Gives it a cleaner look when the IPod's removed and protects the connector.
