I was looking for a portable speaker dock for my iPod and decided on the On Stage IIIP. This is the best sounding portable unit I have listened to. The sound is rich and the base is respectable considering the size of the unit. The 6 AA batteries last about 12+ hours so rechargeable or using the provided AC adapter is recommended when possible. While this doesn't provide the power and performance of my Lansing boom box, it is perfect for patio parties.

I just bought an iPod and needed some speakers so I can play music at parties without having my computer with me or on. The sound quality is amazing for such a small piece of equipment. I am beyond impressed and so happy with this purchase. Amazon had a great price on it (about 37% off retail) so that makes the purchase even sweeter. I recommend these speakers for your portable music needs. Amazing, truly amazing. Way beyond what I was expecting.

If you have IPhone - 2G, 3G, 3Gs, IPods any kind, or any MP3 players you SHOULD BUY this speaker! It is compact but, powerful; it is easy to take anywhere and takes both battery and electric. We are taking it everywhere. Our friends love it, and plan to purchase it! I hate to give 5 stars for anything! but, this product is second to none. The price at Amazon.com is a lot better than anywhere; I saved almost $40.00.

This speaker dock by JBL has worked great for my needs. The sound is great, although I don't play it at concert hall volume. it is compact and having the ability to plug in or run off batteries is a good feature. The best is that it is compatible with the iPhone - I can listen to music and a call interupts the music so I do not miss the call. The only complaints are it times out intermitently and I have to get up and tell it to run again. The remote is all or nothing, to tun it up a just a touch doesn't work, it has to be pressed and held and then it goes up too fast - also have to be lined up with the unit clearly. On occasion, lately it has said "this accessory is not compatible with your iPhone" . I have noticed a few times where I have missed calls - not sure if it wasn't working or if I was away from the dock when it rang, etc. For the most part, it plays great, and alerts me when someone is calling.

A SOUND Buy!!! This should have been my first iPhone 3G accessory. Love IT!! I use it with my laptop as well as my iPhone #G. No matter what any of the bad reviews may say, this is an awesome accessory for the iPhone 3G. I wanted a charging station with sound no clock, since I have an alarm clock app, and this filled my needs. Every once and awhile it will give me a msg about not compatible with this device choose Airplane mode and I just answer no to plane mode and it works great. It doesn't do that very often, once or twice a month and I plug my phone in every night before I crash. The sound is great! I can't believe that these little speakers develop such rich bass and clear highs. As for volume you have to remember it's not going to replace a system with tower speakers. Plenty of volume for bedside and a campsite but not a pool party. The first time I plugged my phone in and activated the iTunes app on the phone my chin hit the floor. Everyone I have shown it to has the same response. I put rechargeable batteries in it to see if they would charge and I haven't had to change them. I use an app to go to sleep and the alarm wakes me up in the AM. If a call comes in I just answer it on the stand. I use it with my laptop when camping to watch movies. Wal-Mart has these on the shelf at $169, I paid around $100. It is more than a good buy! ENJOY!!!!!
