I'm disappointed that this unit does not charge my ipod because it was made in 2006.
Otherwise, I really like the features and sound quality.

I never write negative reviews. However, after giving this as a gift to my husband a few months ago, it being used about 10 times total (which, yes it did work fine), it has stopped working. I am now responsible for return shipping and any parts required to fix, which is very disappointing considering how new it is. Will not buy this brand again.

A nice product, but the downside is that not all iPods work with this system. I have a 4th generation iPod which did not work wih the unit. It fit in the slot, but no sound came out.

I'm keeping it because of the quality of the sound. I have several Ipods and several player/charges, but these player/chargers can't charge my new Nano 5G. I bought this because the description states that it supports Nano 5G. By support, they mean it plays, but does not charge....same problem. Like me, if you are looking something that plays AND charges your Nano 5G - keep looking. If you just want good sound and easy portability, this is it! By the way, my other models of Ipod play and charge just fine with this system.
Batteries go dead when item is not in use March 29, 2010

This unit takes 8 C size batteries. New batteries will go dead even with the unit turned off. The first time this happened I assumed that I must have mistakenly left the unit on. When I tried again making certain the unit was off the batteries where dead again when I looked at again a few weeks later. It's fine if you can always plug it in but you must take out the batteries after use if you want to use it where it can't be plugged in. Don't buy this.
