Amazon.com Product Description A great gift for iPod owners everywhere, the iLive IBCD2817DPBLK boombox integrates a built-in iPod docking station with a vertical-loading CD player and AM/FM tuner, making it a true all-in-one portable audio system. The unit starts with the iPod dock, which plays and charges your iPod 3G, iPod 4G (click wheel), iPod photo 4G, iPod video 5G and 5.5G, iPod mini, and iPod nano 1G and 2G. The CD player, meanwhile, supports CD, CD-R, and CD-RW formats, letting you listen to any CD tracks that you haven't yet uploaded to your iPod, along with a friend's CDs. Finally, you can catch up on the news, listen to the game, or catch a commercial station via the AM/FM tuner. The IBCD2817DPBLK owes its high-quality stereo sound to its pair of front-firing speakers, which deliver a crisp, rich audio performance. And thanks to the full-function remote control, you can control the CD player and iPod from a distance. Other details include a sleek black housing; a blue backlit LCD display with a digital clock and timer; CD track programming; a digital volume control; a 3.5 mm auxiliary input for connecting other audio players, like an iPod shuffle or MP3 player; an audio/video output jack for connecting an iPod photo or video to a TV; and a comfortable carrying handle. The iLive boombox, which runs on AC power or nine C-size batteries (not included), measures 16.8 by 9.8 by 7 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a 90-day warranty. Important Product Information When you insert a CD into the IBCD2817, the CD player will spin the CD to read and gather the CD track total. The track total is then displayed to let you know how many songs are on the CD. You must then push the "Play" button to listen to the CD.
What's in the Box IBCD2817DPBLK boombox, remote control, remote battery, user's manual.

THESE SELL FOR $25 July 30, 2010 Beth A. Vogel (Wisconsin, USA) I can't believe how expensive these are on here! I bought one at Aldi, same band and color, for $25! I've even seen these at Wal-Mart, Fleet Farm, Shopko... all major stores for roughly $20. Go to the store and save yourself $50! It is a great radio but I wouldn't pay this much for one.
Great Deal June 16, 2010 L. Carter Great deal for the money. Cd and Ipod works well and speakes work well. There is louder out there but for just the basic room it works great and is very portable. The remote you can't be very far away so you need a straight line of sight or put in a smaller room.
Randomly Pauses June 6, 2010 Dennis Gilmore I purchased this last year for my daughter's nursery and it has served our purposes. There is one irritating factor, however. From the beginning this unit would randomly put itself on pause. At first I thought I was the cause of the problem, whilst pushing buttons late at night in the dark. This still happens from time to time and I've explored every avenue for the problem. It's not a huge problem, but you kinda expect the baby to break it, not for it to arrive that way.
Static April 29, 2010 Jill D. Mcmurrey (Houston, TX USA) There is a lot of static when playing my iPod Touch. It was very annoying. I am returning.
Fade and Failure of Sound April 19, 2010 Terry Losansky (Snoqualmie, WA) While I like this product in form-factor and ease of use, sadly, it does not work consistently. The volume/sound when playing either CDs or when using an iPod will intermittently quit. Sometimes the song or playlist will resume. At first I thought it was a scratched CD, but the number of failures independent of what was playing ruled this out. I quickly began to hate a product I otherwise enjoyed in every way.
