Excellent portable ipod speakers March 11, 2010 B. Windsor (Michigan) I did a fair amount of research before deciding on this model. My biggest criteria was decent sound quality without paying an outrageous price. The sound quality on this in my opinion is very good. It can get pretty loud without sacrificing the sound quality, much louder than I would need to play it. The rechargeable battery seems to keep the music playing for a reasonable amount of time before needing a recharge. I haven't timed it, but if it was annoyingly short it would have been a problem by now. The main control buttons are on the top of the unit, nice and big and easy to get to. I took one star off of ease of use for the remote. It's not quite as intuitive as it could be, but once you figure it out it isn't a problem. There is a cavity in the back of the unit to hold the remote when you aren't using it which is very handy.
Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. There are many units out there cheaper, but you usually get what you pay for and so far this has been worth the money.
A Great Speaker at a Great Price March 3, 2010 Jeff (Michigan USA) I purchased the Altec Lansing iMT620 and think it's just great...especially for the price. I almost bought the Bose portable sound dock but did not like the $350 plus price tag. I'm glad I got the Altec Lansing instead. The sound quality is almost as good as the Bose and it's definitely a better value.
It's very lightweight and travels well. The construction is a bit delicate but you should not have a problem if you normally take care of your things. The only complaints I have are a) the remote control range is not very far and, b) the storage slot for the remote does not hold it very securely. Other than that, it's a great product and I highly recommend it.
Great Alternative to Big Stereo March 3, 2010 Andrew Pena Jr. This was a great gift. It has all the bells and whistles that you need to enjoy quality sound in a large room. It was easy to learn and has all the practicle features that I wanted.
excellent with my iPod nano 5th G March 2, 2010 Hsiu Hung Chen The product works perfectly with my 5G ipod nano. The acoustic performance is great. Plus, radio signal is perfect too.
Great but for.... February 28, 2010 Grandma Anne (Oregon) I think this portable iPod Dock is great...easy to use and good sound. The only problem is there
are 2 front pieces to "finish" the look of the dock. They say one should fit any iPod but it does
not work and cannot be replaced individually. It's not a big deal, though, and does not effect the
use.
